Liberty City becomes Claude’s only path forward after a robbery ends with betrayal. In GTA 3 Browser, Catalina shoots him and escapes with the money, leaving Claude to survive on his own. After escaping from a prison transport, he begins taking jobs from local criminals and slowly builds connections across the city. The story is straightforward but gives Claude a clear goal: work his way through Liberty City’s criminal groups while getting closer to the woman who betrayed him.

The City Opens Through Criminal Work

Claude starts in Portland, where he works for the Leone family and other contacts. As missions are completed, Staunton Island and Shoreside Vale become accessible. Each district introduces new employers, gangs, vehicles, and types of objectives. Some relationships also change over time, and gangs that once ignored Claude can later attack him on sight.

Missions Define the Progression

The game mixes structured objectives with free exploration. Missions can involve transporting people, stealing vehicles, destroying targets, escaping from enemies, or attacking rival groups.

Players can:

·         complete jobs for criminal contacts

·         steal and drive cars

·         use firearms and explosives

·         escape police pursuits

·         complete taxi and emergency vehicle activities

·         search for hidden packages

·         perform stunt jumps

GTA 3 Browser does not use traditional numbered levels. Progress depends on story missions, access to new districts, money, weapons, and the changing relationships between Claude and the city’s criminal organizations.

Catalina Remains at the Center

Later in the story, Claude discovers that Catalina is working with the Colombian Cartel. His path crosses characters such as Salvatore Leone, Asuka Kasen, Ray Machowski, and Donald Love, each of whom uses Claude for different purposes. The final part of the game brings him directly back to Catalina after she kidnaps Maria and demands a ransom.

GTA 3 Browser combines a linear crime story with open-world freedom. The player can follow Claude’s pursuit of Catalina continuously or stop between missions to explore Liberty City, steal vehicles, collect weapons, complete side activities, and create police chases. The main progression comes from moving through the three major parts of the city and surviving the alliances and betrayals that develop along the way.
