Three criminals with very different lives become involved in a series of dangerous jobs across Los Santos in GTA 5 on Browser. The story follows Michael, Franklin, and Trevor, whose paths connect through robberies, conflicts with gangs, government agencies, and criminal organizations. Players switch between the three protagonists during missions, and each character has personal problems and relationships that develop alongside the main crime story.
Exploring Los Santos
The game takes place in a large open world containing Los Santos, surrounding countryside, highways, mountains, beaches, and smaller settlements. Players can follow story missions or move freely around the map. Cars, motorcycles, trucks, boats, helicopters, and aircraft can be used for transportation. Weapons are available for combat, while police respond to crimes through a wanted-level system that becomes more dangerous as additional stars are gained.
Missions and Activities
Story progression is divided into missions rather than traditional numbered levels. Objectives include driving to specific locations, escaping police, stealing vehicles, fighting enemies, pursuing targets, and completing large robberies. Some heists require preparation missions before the main operation can begin.
Players can also spend time on activities outside the central storyline, including:
- participating in street and off-road races;
- playing golf, tennis, and darts;
- buying weapons, ammunition, and clothing;
- customizing and repairing vehicles;
- completing encounters and side missions;
- exploring underwater and remote areas;
- performing jumps and other vehicle challenges.
Characters and Progression
Michael, Franklin, and Trevor each have a special ability. Michael can slow time during gunfights, Franklin can use slow motion while driving, and Trevor can enter a state that increases his effectiveness during combat. Their skills improve through activities such as driving, shooting, running, and flying. Money earned from missions can be spent on equipment, vehicles, clothing, properties, and other purchases.
GTA 5 on Browser allows the player to approach many situations in different ways. A mission may require following a specific sequence, while free exploration provides more freedom to choose vehicles, weapons, destinations, and activities. The main campaign gradually unlocks new missions and areas of the characters’ lives, eventually leading to important decisions involving Michael, Franklin, and Trevor. After completing story missions, players can continue exploring Los Santos, finish remaining activities, search for collectibles, complete optional challenges, and revisit parts of the open world.
