Country Balls: World War is a strategy game about territorial expansion, army growth, and control of the world map. The player chooses a country represented by a Countryball and begins with a limited number of controlled territories. There is no traditional story with named characters or a scripted campaign. Instead, the objective is to strengthen the chosen country, capture neighboring areas, defeat rival states, and gradually expand until the player becomes the last major power remaining on the map.
Capturing Territory
Battles are controlled by selecting a base and dragging toward another location to send an army there. Every territory continuously produces soldiers, so waiting allows a larger force to accumulate before an attack. Capturing an enemy or neutral location creates another base that can generate troops and support further expansion. Opponents act at the same time, meaning an undefended territory can be attacked while the player is concentrating forces elsewhere.
Economy, Armies, and Upgrades
The main gameplay systems include:
· gathering soldiers at controlled bases;
· sending armies between territories;
· capturing cities and enemy states;
· upgrading controlled areas;
· improving the economy and troop production;
· defending important locations from counterattacks;
· making deals with other countries;
· using special options such as nuclear weapons;
· earning currency by completing levels and defeating opponents.
Successful expansion depends on balancing troop accumulation with aggressive attacks. Sending every available soldier forward may capture one area but leave the original base vulnerable, while waiting too long can allow neighboring enemies to become stronger.
Levels and Progression
Country Balls: World War uses individual levels and conquest scenarios rather than one uninterrupted sandbox campaign. Progressing through battles rewards gold and coins that can be spent on customization, including hats, weapons, skins, and other visual accessories for the selected Countryball. Players can also choose different countries, while upgrades to territories improve their ability to support future attacks.
How to play effectively depends on watching the entire battlefield rather than focusing on a single attack. A territory with a numerical advantage can overwhelm a weaker target, but enemy armies may move at the same time and change the balance before troops arrive. Upgrading important bases, building enough soldiers before attacking, and choosing targets that create useful new positions make further expansion easier. The game therefore combines simple drag-based controls with decisions about timing, economy, defense, and the order in which territories should be captured.
