Mr. Tomatos is a short horror game built around feeding a floating tomato character named Mr. Tomatos. At first, the game looks like a simple food-serving activity. Mr. Tomatos asks for specific items, and the player needs to give him the correct food before his anger becomes too high. The presentation gradually becomes more disturbing as mistakes accumulate, turning an ordinary feeding game into a horror experience with multiple possible outcomes.
Give Him Exactly What He Wants
Each round presents several food items on the screen while Mr. Tomatos announces what he wants to eat. The player selects the requested item and feeds it to him. Some requests involve individual foods, while others require ingredients to be combined in the blender before they are served. Correct choices keep the session under control, but giving Mr. Tomatos the wrong food increases his anger.
The main gameplay includes:
- listening to Mr. Tomatos’ food requests;
- selecting the correct ingredients;
- combining certain foods in the blender;
- earning points for successful orders;
- spending points in the shop;
- using items to make later rounds easier;
- managing Mr. Tomatos’ anger level;
- discovering different endings through repeated play.
The Shop Helps With Difficult Requests
Points earned during feeding can be spent on useful items between sections. These tools can help identify food, correct mistakes, or deal with situations that become harder as the game continues. Choosing what to buy matters because the player has limited resources, and some items can become important when Mr. Tomatos begins requesting combinations that are harder to recognize or prepare correctly.
Anger Changes the Entire Experience
Mr. Tomatos becomes increasingly hostile when the player repeatedly gives him incorrect food. His appearance, dialogue, and the surrounding presentation begin to change as the anger meter rises. What initially feels like a simple task gradually introduces unsettling visual effects and more dangerous situations. Reaching certain conditions can lead to different endings rather than simply restarting the same feeding sequence.
There are no traditional levels, character upgrades, or exploration areas. Progress comes from completing more requests, earning points, buying useful items, and learning how the game reacts to mistakes. Replaying is an important part of Mr. Tomatos because different decisions and anger levels can reveal outcomes that are impossible to see during a single run.
